Project Officer/Botanist – Ecology

The role of Project Officer in the Ecology team works with the direction of the Senior Project Officers and Environmental Manager to assist with finalising technical documentation and creation of mapping and spatial data.

What you will bring to the role:

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Botany Zoology, Marine Biology or other relevant discipline
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge and ability to identify WA plants
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise and have excellent time management

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and attend field surveys
• Creation and review of spatial data and mapping
• Prepare and review reports
• Provide or review quotes and tenders
• Consider new research and its potential implementations
