We’re looking for a professional Store Manager with relevant experience who wants to join our team of 1500 employees and 1000 volunteers to make a difference on a permanent full-time basis, working 38 hours per week based at our Belmont store in Geelong.

THE ROLE

The Store Manager is responsible for managing staff and resources in order to ensure the operational needs of the store are met to maximise financial returns.

  • Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to all stakeholders at the store through leadership and training
  • Take responsibility for store outcomes and achieving budgets
  • Carry out routine training to ensure staff are compliant with policies and procedures outlined in the operations handbook
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies in store operations
  • Ensure all staff are aware and work within the Brotherhood’s OH&S policies and procedures and respond promptly to any OH&S issues
  • Salary will be 60,357.43 per annum plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Relevant qualifications in retail experience (experience in recycled goods will be preferable)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team with the ability to supervise, mentor and support staff and volunteers
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for decisions
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems and make appropriate recommendations
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Expertise and competency in Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood.
  • Customer service focused

Desirable

  • Retail Certificate 3 or above
  • Drivers license
  • Manual handling training (highly desirable)
  • Visual merchandising training
