Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Officer to join our team and build an Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA) strategy to enable EACH to create cultural change, and increase awareness, knowledge and resilience to appropriately prevent, respond and manage incidents relating to OVA, as well as delivery of training and systems across the organisation.

Based primarily out of EACH’s head office located in Ringwood, this role will report to the Manager – Health, Safety & Wellbeing on a part time basis until June 30 2024. You will also be required to travel to various sites around EACH to gain a thorough understanding of requirements. Your role will be to provide practical coordination and assistance to EACH for the development and implementation of the EACH OVA Action Plan.

You will need to determine organisational requirements and incorporate a detailed plan and strategy to update the OVA Committee and broader EACH workforce.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Update and add to the Action Plan in consultation with key internal stakeholders
  • Support the operation of the OVA Committee
  • Coordinate systems and training plans
  • Work with managers and staff to coordinate a gap analysis of organisational OVA practices
  • Assist in the development and roll out of a risk based approach to OVA across the organisation.
  • Review OVA incident data to identify trends.

Qualifications

We are seeking a lateral thinker who enjoys working across a large group, using data and leveraging off a committee to drive continuous improvement and change in organisational OVA.

You are a team player, with previous experience working in the development and implementation of OVA initiatives in the health and community services sector and demonstrated experience coordinating projects right through to from implementation and review.

To thrive in this role, you will possess the following;

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Project Management, Workplace Health and Safety or other relevant discipline
  • Diploma of Human Resources or equivalent
  • A current Working With Children’s Check is essential
  • Have full Australian working rights and a National Police Clearance
  • Australian Drivers Licence
