Themed Experience, College of Arts and Humanities:
The Themed Experience MFA and MS are highly selective graduate degree programs that teach design and production of themed experiences such as theme parks, restaurants, retail, zoos, museums, etc. The programs collaborate with other academic disciplines within UCF as well as leaders in the themed entertainment industry. Themed Experience at UCF has an industry Advisory Council, 6 instructors, and approximately 65 matriculating master’s candidates.
The Opportunity
The Academic Support Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for all administrative needs for Themed Experience graduate students and the program director. The coordinator will support, communicate, and confer with the Program Director and work as an administrative liaison between Themed Experience, CAH, and other departments. The coordinator will also help support CAH Graduate Studies administration as needed.
Responsibilities:
Assist Themed Experience Program Director with scheduling and administration to include course schedules, meetings with students and faculty and staff. Assist with budgeting and expense reporting for Themed Experience funds. Administrative support for Themed Experience professional internships. Assist and support the Program Director with Themed Experience student advisement. Administrate assessment for MS and MFA Themed Experience Programs. Assist Program Director in Themed Experience development efforts. Assist in recruitment of applicants to the Themed Experience Programs. Assist in creating and maintaining academic schedule. Assist with on-boarding and hiring adjunct instructors. Track and update syllabi and course proposals. Coordinate Themed Experience Thesis process for MFA candidates (dates, paperwork, etc.). Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 0+ years of relevant experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
