The School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education, University of Southampton, is seeking a well-qualified and highly motivated Public Health Lecturer to join their team based at University Hospital Southampton Foundation Trust. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for high-quality public health education, who has a strong vision for how education and research can transform health care.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Unit’s postgraduate teaching on the MSc in Public Health and relevant research.  You will contribute to the development of innovative teaching, learning and assessment approaches in public health.  You will join a highly successful Faculty within a University widely regarded as one of the most dynamic and innovative institutions in the country.  As a research-led University it is rated amongst the top 20 in the country for the quality of its research and scholarship.

For this Level 4 Lecturer appointment with a balanced portfolio (education and research) you will have an in-depth understanding of your field of study and will be starting to build your academic standing, aiming to gain recognition at a national level. Knowledge and experience will normally have been gained through relevant research at PhD level, but may also have been achieved via other routes, including consultancy or industry experience, usually supported by a relevant postgraduate degree and/or relevant teaching qualifications. You have a track record of successfully completing funded research projects (as commensurate with the job description attached).
