Communications Associate:

The Development & Communications
Associate oversees T3C’s membership program and provides
communications support for all aspects of T3C’s mission. The
Development & Communications Associate works closely with the
Executive Director, Director of Stewardship and Community
Engagement, members of the Board of Directors and volunteers to
develop communications across a variety of strategic focus areas
for T3C. The 300 Committee’s Development& Communications
Associate reports to the Executive Director who supervises their
work.
This is a full-time position that
focuses on fund raising support, managing T3C’s membership program
and providing communications support for all areas of T3C’s mission
including stewardship, outreach, and donor relations.
Core responsibilities include,
but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with the Executive Director to establish annual
    and capital fund raising goals and coordinate strategies to meet
    those goals.
  • Providing support for the Development Committee and Executive
    Director by conducting donor research and through planning for
    donor communications and engagement.
  • Coordinating and carrying out all aspects of the membership
    program to raise annual operating income. This includes the
    solicitation, tracking and follow-up of donors/members.
    (recognition/gift acknowledgement). Managing/troubleshooting the
    donor database and handling donation deposits.
  • Writing grant proposals and reports to secure funding and
    follow up for capital projects, stewardship, community engagement
    and operational support.
  • Creating content for and managing the production and
    dissemination of T3C materials for membership, stewardship,
    outreach, and special events.
  • Developing and managing T3C’s outreach communications to all
    constituents: members, friends, community, media, and keeping
    website current, accurate and compelling. Coordinating with the
    Executive Director and Director of Stewardship and Engagement in
    aligning our messaging with T3C’s strategic priorities.
  • Supporting the organization in planning special events and in
    implementing new priority projects.
  • Supporting special projects as part of T3C’s annual work plan
    for strategic plan implementation.
  • Providing office management support, ordering supplies &
    coordinating contract services.

 The Development &
Communications Associate’s job responsibilities
require:

  • Strong verbal communication skills; proven ability to write
    clearly and persuasively.
  • Solid knowledge and experience working in philanthropy,
    including annual giving, grant writing and special events.
  • The ability to work in a small office, to work independently
    but to collaborate with others and to juggle multiple projects and
    competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with membership and fund raising databases,
    including Little Green Light and Microsoft Office. Ability to work
    with Constant Contact and coordinate graphic design projects.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and experience working in a non-profit
    organization or similar experience.

 Hours: Average
of 40 hours per week, occasional weekend work and evening meetings
will be required.
Salary commensurate with
experience.
Expected starting range $45,000 – $55,000 plus
comprehensive benefits package.
