GIS Consultant – Ecological Mapping

c£26,000-£29,000 pa dependent on experience and hours
worked (minimum 24 hrs per week)

We are looking to recruit a GIS specialist to provide high quality maps for
ecological reports, to include data analysis and ecological data collection.

Working primarily with SWT Ecology Services, this role will support the team through use, set
up, review and finalisation of spatial data; active involvement in improving data collection
methods, preparation and checking of high quality maps to support technical reports.

You must have previous experience and sound understanding of working with ESRI’s suite of GIS
software, including ArcGIS Pro, ARC GIS Online and Survey 123 plus experience in production of
clear survey maps, report figures, biodiversity net gain assessments and data analysis. You
must have an analytical focus and be able to explain technical data to both skilled and
non-technical audiences.

Our hybrid working policy aims to provide a good work/life balance which can incorporate
partial home working whilst having an interesting and challenging working environment. Our
office bases are in Pirbright, Pond Farm (Wisley) and Nower Wood (Leatherhead); it may be
possible for this role to be primarily home based but this will depend on the candidate and
further discussion.
