Description
Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship beginning August 1, 2024. This is a full-time, one-year position with a teaching load of six courses. The appointment has the possibility for renewal contingent on successful annual review and ongoing curricular needs. The Management and Entrepreneurship Department challenges our students to explore solutions to a wide range of societal issues, to collaborate with their peers and faculty to propose solutions, and to act – solving problems by implementing their interdisciplinary, collaborative solutions to these issues, often through community engaged approaches. We are looking for candidates who can teach at least two of the following courses: Quantitative Tools, Data Analysis, Managerial Accounting, Managerial Finance, Fundamentals of Marketing, and Organizational Management. Responsibilities include: teaching and developing courses for this new major, existing minor, and for the Master of Science in Management program; mentoring and advising students; and supporting co-curricular programming (e.g., pitch competitions, idea incubators, etc.) in coordination with the Centennial Center for Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.

Preferred qualifications include:
Practical/professional management, leadership, or entrepreneurship experience in the for profit, non-profit, or public realms;
