About the Role

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Database Systems to support teaching and research in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS).

About You

The post requires an effective communicator of new and complex ideas with an ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of the target audience. You will have a PhD or equivalent experience, and be passionate about your work, preferable in subjects such as: principles of database management systems, database design and entity-relationship modelling (ERM), object-relational DBMS, Business Intelligence / Datawarehousing, NoSQL, unstructured & semi-structured data, legal & ethical issues of data management, transaction management, distributed/cloud databases, and/or DB management including data security.

You will also have a track-record of high-quality research in Computer Science, with clear and ambitious future research plans. Queen Mary is a signatory of DORA declaration, and as such the quality of your research will be judged on its own merits.
