About the role

We are seeking an experienced Database Analyst on a permanent contract to join the Directorate of Development and Alumni Engagement at Queen Mary University of London. Queen Mary is a world-leading research-intensive university with a difference – we open the doors of opportunity to anyone with the talent and potential to succeed. Recently named the UK’s top university for social mobility, we are leading the way in inclusivity among Russell Group universities: of our London undergraduate students, over 92% are from state schools; 75% are BAME; and 49% are the first in their families to go to university.

About you

The role of Database Analyst is pivotal to ensuring we can provide life-changing opportunities to students who need them most, with bursaries, scholarships and career support. You will do this through the day-to-day management of our supporter database, being an integral part the division’s mission to increase philanthropic income and supporter engagement with Queen Mary. This includes responsibility for data enrichment, cleansing, migration, integrations, analysis, and insight.

You will deliver training, be responsible for knowledge management, process improvement, and prioritising a strong data culture in the division. You will remain up to date with compliance, data protection, and GDPR legislation. The role is responsible for supporting the Head of Operations and Campaigns with the completion of sector benchmarking, reporting, both to the division, and wider stakeholders, prospect management functionality, and the implementation of performance management KPI’s for the division.

You will support colleagues across DDAE and beyond to ensure that the Development & Alumni Relations CRM –Access/ThankQ – is utilised to its full potential, providing the most effective support to the work of the Directorate and in building mutually beneficial relationships with our community of over 215,000 supporters, whilst supporting the aims of the University’s bold 2030 Strategy.
