Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Business Services Officer to join Facilities Management, Administrative Division.

The Business Services Officer delivers a range of high quality diverse professional services and plays a key role in supporting Facilities Management with efficient information, operational and administrative services.

The Facilities Management Department within the Administrative Division is responsible for managing the process of design, construction, maintenance and operation of the physical facilities, and the provision of a range of support services across the University’s two main campuses at Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and a range of smaller offsite facilities..

What you need to succeed

1. Education, training, or relevant experience equivalent to completion of an associate diploma with at least two (2) years’ subsequent relevant experience.
2. Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to provide confidential executive support and collaborate and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
3. Demonstrated digital literacy skills including ability to effectively work with Microsoft suite of products as well as corporate systems and other information sources to extract and interpret data.
4. Demonstrated ability to use initiative, judgement and analytical skills to solve problems.
5. Demonstrated written communication skills including the ability to draft a range of correspondence with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Proven ability to manage time and tasks effectively including prioritising work, meeting deadlines and balancing competing demands.
