Agency Engagement Coordinator (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Identified)

As the Agency Engagement Coordinator, you will be key in building and maintaining relationships with our partner agencies. While monitoring and reporting on interagency collaboration, leading initiatives to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, ensuring cultural sensitivity in our services.

All while promoting an environment of inclusivity for all. This position is a full-time closed period contract working across our Waterloo Market & Refettorio Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts to connect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander agencies and communities to enhance collaboration and engagement.
• Work closely with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander stakeholders to understand unique needs related to food security and access to social services.
• Act as a liaison between OzHarvest frontline programs and partner agencies, facilitating communication and promotion of services.
• Utilise data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in agency engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with agencies to identify opportunities for community outreach and engagement programs.

What you need to succeed:

• Identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person
• Relevant experience in stakeholder management, community engagement, or a related role.
• Understanding of Indigenous cultures, protocols, and issues, with experience working collaboratively with Aboriginal communities.
• Knowledge of Indigenous perspectives on food security and community development.
