We are seeking a Chief Operations Officer to join our executive team and play a key role in our organization. In this position, you will lead the charge for innovative food access and programming strategies for the 16 counties served by Food Finders. Your strategic mindset will be critical in developing and implementing effective sourcing and distribution strategies, while your leadership skills guide a team dedicated to our mission. 

As part of the Executive Team, the COO will work to ensure that the food bank is fulfilling its mission. The right COO will be inspired by our work and proudly lead a team of 25 to continuously seek new opportunities and improvements to provide equitable food access to those facing hunger across the 16 counties served by Food Finders

A mind for strategy, logistics, distribution and problem-solving with a “Yes, and” attitude are key to success with this position.

Here are just some of the ways you will contribute to the mission, goals, and objectives of our organization:

  • Develop and drive strategic goals for all program and operations areas. 
  • Provide leadership to food bank programs and partnerships targeted at initiatives to address hunger and ensure food equity across 16 counties served by FFFB. 
  • Continuously seek new programming methods, technology, strategies, and partnerships to meet the changing needs of our neighbors facing hunger.  
  • Direct activities involved in the procurement and movement of food products, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining an equitable neighbor-focused approach. 
  • Maintain forward-looking knowledge of facilities, logistics and food distribution management. 
  • Oversee facility maintenance, licensing, and inspections (local, state, and federal).
