- HEO 10, Base Salary $138,799 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Centre for Educational Management and Assessment (CEMA) supports education sectors, governments, businesses, and the University by efficiently and cost-effectively providing psychometric solutions, and by developing capacity in assessment practice informed by research.
CEMA has two main aspirations: to provide services to the education community, business world, and the tertiary sector, and to become a self-funded centre. CEMA are seeking a Business Development Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- manage internal and external education partner communications, including joint project negotiation, management, contracts, and evaluations
- lead the development of CEMA’s Teaching and Professional Learning Policy and processes, and in-house suite of professional learning courses for teachers, school leaders, school communities, and sector leaders
- lead the development a Five Year CEMA Financial Plan, monitoring budgets and expenditure, and reporting on financials across CEMA, to meet the Centre’s core requirements and ensuring core business objectives are established, monitored, and evaluated
- communication and marketing of CEMA’s professional learning courses
- provide operational management including recruitment, contracts, onboarding of CEMA’s staff; and the effective delivery of administrative and support services
- ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory controls including managing the CEMA Assessment Advisory Committee (CAAC) and producing annual reports.
About you
- a postgraduate qualification in Education, Business or Marketing, or an equivalent in relevant training and experience
- proven experience in management and business administration leadership at a senior level in a school education, along with flexibility, and capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and environments
- experience managing budgets and controlling income and project expenditure
- extensive knowledge of the Australian school system including broad knowledge and understanding of
- educational assessment, associated issues and educational products
- demonstrated experience in managing and resolving a diverse range of HR issues
- ability to exercise initiative and judgement to identify key school education stakeholders, the effective establishment and management of these relationships
