Distribution and Receiving Specialist II

As the specialist you will operate mailroom software and notification systems and programs for mail and purchase management while following all SCAD and OSHA procedures. In this position you must be able to provide excellent customer service, ensure vehicles are clean and well maintained, maintain a safe driving record, and supervise work study students as needed.  

Minimum Qualifications:   

• High school diploma or GED; or at least three months related experience  

• Ability to lift 75 pounds  

• Proficient in operating a forklift and pallet jacket or ability to undergo advanced training to operate it effectively 

Preferred Qualifications:   

• Prior experience with USPS and mailroom operations 

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: 

•  Valid driver’s license  

• Ability to pass a motor vehicle report run by SCAD and compliance with SCAD driving policy 

Travel required:  

• Less than 10%  

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
