About the role

We have an excellent opportunity for you to join the movement and help us make a real
difference as our Media Officer. 

You will be working within a dynamic but small team, alongside a second Media Officer,
supporting the Campaigns and Media Manager to plan and deliver Sustrans’ UK-wide communications
and media campaigns.

You will generate positive media coverage for our work and vision, pitch winning ideas to
trade, business and national media, helping to build the profile of the charity across all
platforms.

We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home with the option to work from
a hub.

Occasional travel to the Bristol hub, and others as required, is expected.

About you

As a highly proficient self-starter, you will hit the ground running with your experience of
collaborating on or managing media projects to generate positive media coverage.

You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and manage effective
relationships with journalists and commentators.

You will have demonstrable experience in producing inspiring copy, media statements, opinion
pieces and blogs.

We are seeking someone with a passion for current affairs, and a strong grasp of the wider
media and political landscape.
