Are you passionate about the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences and are looking to make a significant impact in an innovative and renowned institution? LJMU’s Faculty of Science is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Science Technician, supporting the delivery of teaching and other learning activities within the faculty.

As a technician you will work in close partnership with the team leader, providing invaluable support to academic staff and other members of the technical team. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of teaching activities and research projects within the Faculty of Science. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment, contributing to the advancement of education and research in this dynamic field.

Collaboration and teamwork will be a key to your success in this role. You will work closely with academic staff, assisting them in the planning, preparation, and execution of practical sessions. Your expertise as a science technician will be invaluable in providing technical support and guidance, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our teaching and research endeavours.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a strong background in pharmacy dispensing or technical practice, such as pharmacy, physiology, clinical simulation, or a related discipline.   

Your ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, will be crucial in this role. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organisational skills. As a technician, you will play a key role in maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring their efficient operation, and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and students.
