The Integration and Trade Sector (INT) of the Vice Presidency for Sectors and Knowledge seeks an outstanding and experienced trade economist to lead the preparation of a flagship report on how the complex relationship between international trade and climate change plays out for Latin America and the Caribbean amid: (i) a fast-moving climate crisis; and (ii) a slow recovery from a historic sanitary crisis, with trade offering one of the few tested paths for sustainable growth.
The consultant will work as part of INT’s team and report to its manager. INT assists member countries in designing and implementing trade, investment, and integration policies that facilitate economic growth, development, and poverty reduction.
Edit and co-write the chapters of trade and climate change report.
Organize a workshop for the launch of the report.
Participate in the report’s diffusion, contributing, inter alia, to related blogs.
What you’ll need:
Education:
  • Master in economics with a focus on trade and integration.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience.
Languages:
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Requirements:
  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
