About the role
In this role, some of the key responsibilities include:
- Lead and deliver best practice clinical services to clients in line with contemporary nursing practice and disability service standards.
- Draft individual health care plans and related documents.
- Review and monitor the implementation of individual health care plans to assess if associated complex client issues require amendments to the plan’s objectives.
- Deliver appropriate, complex health care procedures and administer medication in accordance with Achieve Australia policies and NDIS standards, to meet individual client requirements.
- Support and increase clinical competency across a given cluster, providing nursing staff with advice, coaching, training and feedback on nursing and complex health care to influence the delivery and improvement of quality service outcomes across the cluster.
- Work with the team to deliver a ‘whole of person’ person centred approach to disability services provision taking the lead on clinical matters, contributing and providing effective feedback to service management on service provision accurately and within given timeframes to meet operational requirements.
About you
- Relevant qualifications and APHRA registration.
- Sound interpersonal, role modelling and customer service skills.
- Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing environments.
- Understanding and commitment to the Disability Service Standards and WHS.
- Understanding of human rights and the challenges facing those with a disability.
- Current P2 Drivers Licence and above is a must.
- Experience in working with and supporting adults deemed as having significant complexity in their lives.
- Ability to keep confidentiality at all the time.
