The general objective of the workshop is to make the Provincial Climate Change Financing Framework (PC4) members and parliamentarians familiar with climate financing mechanism and rolling out of CCFF in the Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Madhesh province by virtue of which they would be able to prepare annual plan and program prioritizing climate risks and actions to address them.
The specific objectives of the program are:
• To orient participants on the National climate policy landscape, national/international climate finance mechanisms and overview of global climate finance instruments.
• To orient on Climate Budget Tagging (CoA included) green – bond, financing, taxonomy and how these instruments can be useful to add the additional financing for climate actions.
• To orient participants on roles, plans and priorities of provincial governments on climate change; and
• To collect feedbacks and inputs on rolling out of Provincial CCFF and mainstreaming climate change in the plans and budget at the provinces.
