Position Summary: 

Reporting to the Ambulatory practice manager, the clinical nurse is responsible for the clinical aspect of patient care including phone and walk-in triage.  Assists with procedures, patient education, outpatient and post hospital discharge follow-up including coordinating home care, hospice, equipment, physical and occupational therapy. The nurse incorporates the psycho-motor and age appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other utilizing knowledge of patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Salary Range: 

 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $59.93                  Midpoint              $71.10               Maximum $82.27

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Current California RN license

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

2 years experience in cardiac nursing

Must know advanced arrhythmia analysis and heart failure management

Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Minimum 1 year experience working as a RN in an outpatient Cardiology clinic or inpatient care unit with heavy cardiology patient population (ICU, SSU, CCU,etc.)

Previous experience working with patients with arrhythmia

Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

 

Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support(Required)

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements

Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families

Experienced in implantable device management and monitoring (ICD, pacemaker, LVAD) in person and remote

Experience working as a RN in an outpatient Cardiology clinic
