JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an Associate VP, Ambulatory Finance to play a crucial role in driving financial strategy and ensuring the financial health and stability of the ambulatory organization. The AVP works closely with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that support organizational goals and objectives. This leadership role  enables the physician organization to achieve its operational and strategic goals while complying with legal and regulatory requirements.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, accounting, capital & business planning.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability, including implementation of financial models, methodologies and decision support systems. Ensure compliance with DUHS targets, deadlines, and expected deliverables and in coordination with School of Medicine, Academic Department and Facility leadership to ensure alignment.
  • Lead the financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and capital and business planning. Develop routine rolling forecasts for all components of the operating entity to inform cash projections and other decision -making processes.
  • Work directly with senior leadership to communicate financial results. Contribute financial expertise and recommendations for effective decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.
  • Routinely collaborate with Departmental and Clinical leadership.  Develop and maintain departmental financial reporting packages that provides operational metrics, variance analytics, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance team, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • MBA or CPA preferred

JOB HOURS

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
