Job Description

Based in Edinburgh, you will be strategic HRBP for Global function / segment our business and will be responsible for the development and delivery of a robust, commercial and progressive People strategy.

With close alignment to business leaders, the Divisional and Regional HR Business Partners, and the HR Centers of Excellence, you will be responsible for providing commercially focused HR solutions that:

You will be report to the Head of HR Business Partnering and be responsible for ensuring a strong HR Business Partnering service is being provided to your allocated function / segments. The headcount is anticipated to be ~500-600 employees globally.

You will be a pivotal contact for key stakeholders from the business including department leads, office heads, representatives from HR, Finance and Administration and must build and maintain relationships to achieve results.

You will be curious and commercially minded striving to deeply understand business problems and working to develop creative and innovative solutions, challenging the status quo as a trusted advisor to the business.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Partner with senior executives and their leadership teams, to develop a robust and effective people plan which supports achievement of the global divisional strategic plan.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of people plan objectives and for the strategic direction of all people issues within the divisions globally.
  • Work closely with Head of HR Business Partnering and Divisional HRBP team to translate corporate people initiatives at a functional /segment level and for the Americas Region
  • Work effectively with Regional HRBPs to ensure effective implementation of the people plan globally, as well as the execution of various projects such as restructuring and organizational change.
  • Act as a consultant/ coach/ confidant to managers on organizational initiatives/ issues to maintain high levels of employee engagement.
  • Partner with Regional HRBPs to oversee effective resolution of employee relations matters; take the lead on complex/senior ER matters within the functional areas to deliver the best possible outcomes for the organization while working within employment legislation, policies and practices.
  • Drive effective implementation of a coaching culture between managers and individuals so that coaching for performance is embedded as part of the day to day working approach.
  • Manage various employee life cycle events within the functions in line to maximize employee engagement, development and retention (e.g., compensation planning, performance management, talent review)
  • Support the identification, creation and implementation of people capability initiatives across the functions, including Employee Engagement Survey, Wellbeing, Inclusion, Diversity & Belonging, Recognition initiatives etc.
  • Partner with business leaders and HR counterparts to evolve a competitive and compelling employee value proposition to drive talent acquisition and retention.
  • Partner with managers to ensure the timely recruitment of high calibre, qualified employees while effectively managing costs and maintaining a positive candidate experience.
  • Adopt a data-led approach to identify and manage key metrics and analytics to challenge and drive continuous improvement in people management processes and overall business effectiveness.
  • Facilitate Learning and Development activities where appropriate, including development of management and leadership capabilities.
  • Support managers with pay, grading and promotion issues to ensure both compliance with legislation and the fair and consistent application of reward policy.

Lead, participate/ support in ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner to a global and highly matrixed business, ideally in SAAS or data analytics business
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Degree level candidate with relevant HR qualifications
  • Excellent analytical skills including experience of business reporting and fact-based decision making.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple geographies.
  • Passion for performance coaching and management at all levels
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a local and global HR team.
  • Driven and curious
  • Comfortable with change and ambiguity
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels in the organization.
  • A strong working knowledge of HR Information Systems (ideally Workday), and tools and techniques (such as job evaluation, psychometrics, OD methodologies etc.) is required.

Additional Information

We are a hybird organisation and there will be a minimum requirement to be in office at least 2 – 3 days per week.
