Description | The Director of the Dental Hygiene program in the Westbrook College of Health Professions will lead the educational program that prepares students with a baccalaureate degree to sit for licensure and care for patients in the capacity of a dental hygienist. This include oversight of didactic and experiential instruction in the Coleman Dental Hygiene Clinic, UNE’s Oral Health Center as well as community-based experiences. The Director will work with the dean and other administrators and the dental community to meet Commission on Dental Accreditation Standards. Supervision of faculty and students to support best practices in the learning environment may include a variety of delivery methods including on-campus, hybrid or blended distance learning and on-line is required. Qualifications | Dental Hygienist who is a graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation or a Dentist who has a background in the education and experience with Dental Hygienists.
