Position Summary:
The School of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, has openings for Staff Physicians in our Primary Care Associates department. The UCI Primary Care Associates provide clinical services for UCI Health patients of all ages in a variety of settings and locations throughout Orange County, CA. Clinical sites include Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills, Newport Beach, Yorba Linda, Tustin, and Orange – with more to come. We are seeking a qualified individual who is an excellent clinician with a strong commitment to clinical leadership, quality improvement and team-based patient care. The incumbent is responsible for providing expert medical care to UCI Health patients with a range of potential illnesses, injuries, or disabilities. Their duties include conducting routine physical examinations on patients, referring patients to medical specialists, and/or prescribing medications based on the patient’s medical conditions. The incumbent reports to the Medical Director and Primary Care Administrator.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $270,000.00 – $290,000.00 (Annual Salary). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $69,000.00 – $378,300.00 (Annual Salary).
Required:
- Candidate must have at least one year of experience working as a family or internal medicine.
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution; completion of family or internal medicine physician residency; board certification in family or internal medicine; or board eligible in family or internal medicine.
- California Medical license
- Active and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification
- Family or Internal physician; board-certified or board eligible, full-scope ambulatory health care services including care of children, adults and the elderly.
- Experienced in providing and/or oversight of primary care.
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes Leadership skills; ability to motivate, inspire, communicate with faculty, residents, staff, and peers to maintain a professional, team-based approach in the care of patients.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives while in compliance of all UC policies and procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all state and federal privacy laws
