What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer’s dynamic Process Automation team, you will play a critical role in the management of manufacturing controls systems to improve manufacturing success rates and ensuring zero down time.

As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. How You Will Achieve It

  • Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time on agreed targets, develop plans for own projects and leads small project teams.
  • Monitor, generate and complete the periodic review, validation master plan for the automation engineering program.
  • Demonstrate good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills.
  • Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance work, ensure all the equipment and facilities work safely, efficiently and reliably.
  • Generate and develop standard operating procedures and system support.
  • Analyze operational process problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
  • Manage change control authoring and execution.
  • Participate in the site and network wide teams to provide cybersecurity alignment and direction.
  • Provide 24x7x365 support of our automation systems and perform automation activities for capital and non-capital projects.
  • Modify moderately complex to highly complex control logic that requires a degree of scientific and/or manufacturing process expertise.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff and serve as a technical trainer, whenever necessary.
  • Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • OR an associate’s degree with 6 years of experience.
  • OR a bachelor’s with at least 3 years of experience.
  • OR master’s with more than 1 year of experience.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Automation Engineering
  • In depth knowledge and experience working with SCADA, HMI, PLC and or DCS Systems, Historians
  • Basic knowledge of network technology (IP/TCP, Ethernet).
  • Strong knowledge of some Controls Systems i.e. Rockwell, Allen Bradley, DeltaV, Foxboro, Honeywell TDC3000Experience on Automation Compliance projects
  • Experience with writing Industrial Controls test plans, user requirements, and system design documents
  • Teamwork spirit, good communication skills and training abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills {written and oral}

Nice-to-Have

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience.
  • Understanding of programming, and proficiency in at least one language.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Job will include standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Occasional lifting may be required.
  • Office and computer work.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Business hours but occasionally off shift hours as project requirements or emergencies occur.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
