We are a community-engaged research team with The Pittsburgh Hill/Homewood Research on Neighborhoods and Memory (Think PHRESH )! The goal of our work is to understand the multi-level factors that contribute to health inequities and to help individuals and communities understand how to support the cognitive and overall health of their community members in underserved communities. 



Job Summary

Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.


Essential Functions 

 The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience with project management within a fast-paced research environment, is highly organized, flexible, and detail-oriented, has excellent communication and management skills, and is passionate about health equity. 

Assisting to coordinate meetings (setting agendas, making sure that there are action items that are follow-up on, note-taking in the absence of an admin assistant)

Managing study equipment (i.e., ensuring that all equipment is working as intended including Actigraphs, cell phones, tablets, participant incentives)

Managing field office needs (i.e., work with the Field Coordinator to make sure that all necessary equipment, tools, etc. are met)

Coordination of research collaborations (coordinating between institutions, connecting junior staff with mentors)

IRB maintenance (filing continuing reviews and amendments) and working with partner (RAND) IRB

Preparing NIH Progress Reports 

Oversight of data collection (examining field reports, generating figures and estimates of additional data needed/postcard timing, timeline, etc.)

Opportunity to contribute to writing, analysis, and publications and be part of the research team.
