The Vacancy
Wates Group have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join Smartspace, our fit out and refurbishment business.
Our Quantity Surveyors are a valuable part of our business, where they take ownership for the development and implementation of all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting.

As our Quantity Surveyor you will:
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality commercial reports to clients.
- Identify, document, and submit variations on projects, ensuring swift agreement.
- Issue tender enquiries and reconcile packages.
- Negotiate external valuations and cash flow to maximize project value.
- Review and agree upon final accounts with both main and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular site visits to meet with the site team and subcontractors, addressing any issues that arise.
- Administer and resolve contract issues upstream with the client and downstream with the supply chain.
