Tasks:

Task 1: ODK (InForm/ONA) Form Development

  • Analyze organizational processes and business requirements to determine the data collection needs that InForm forms must address.
  • Create detailed user stories to guide the design of InForm forms, ensuring they meet the specific needs and preferences of the end-users, e.g. multi-level data disaggregation.
  • Develop InForm forms tailored to specific data collection needs, ensuring user-friendly interfaces and logical question flow.
  • Expertise in structuring data and coding with a focus on unique identifiers (IDs) for streamlined data management.
  • Utilize advanced ODK features such as skip logic, validation rules, and multimedia support to enhance data collection efficiency.
  • Conduct form and database testing with users to finetune process flow and ensure functionality and overall system efficiency

Task 2: Data visualization

In collaboration with PME section and ICT unit, and programme staff and technical subject matter experts, including those in the Mindanao Field Office:

    • Conduct needs analysis and develop appropriate Power BI data visualization solutions;
    • Prepare relevant communication concepts and stories using key statistical and other indicators and information to help identify specific, relevant, and appropriate data visualizations; and
    • Design, develop, or update periodic, relevant data visualizations for various use cases.

Task 3: Database management

  • Build and maintain an office-wide data dictionary to standardize data terminology and usage.
  • Regularly gather user feedback on form functionality and make necessary adjustments to improve user experience and data quality.

Task 4: Capacity development

Design and deliver multiple trainings on InForm form development and data visualization for UNICEF Philippines and partners;

  • Prepare course outline and develop content based on specific needs of participants;
  • Develop documentation, teaching aids, and necessary materials;
  • Conduct the training; and
  • Provide post-training support.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

  • University degree in Computer science/programming or related College Degree.

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

  • Proven experience in ODK (in particular ONA) form creation and management.
  • Strong skills in data structuring and coding, especially with unique identifiers.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining data dictionaries.
  • Proficient in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation.
  • Possess exceptional skills in translating complex numerical data into compelling data stories
  • Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication, and knowledge of the relevant local language is an asset.
