Position Summary:
Plan, direct, manage and oversee assigned programs and activities within the Ambulatory Services Division related to Ambulatory Business Operations, SRMC Centralized Scheduling, UNMHS Appointment Center, Advanced Access, External Referral Communications, and Native American Health Referral Management. Coordinate assigned activities and other divisions, departments and outside agencies. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* OPERATIONS – Assume management responsibility for services and activities within the Ambulatory Division related to operations including patient access, centralized scheduling and education; ensure adherence to established policies, procedures and regulations
* POLICIES – Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and procedures for assigned area(s); monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures
* QUALITY – Identify, recommend and implement opportunities for improvement
* BUDGET – Oversee and participate in the development and administration of the division budget; forecast and recommend funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies
* COMPLIANCE – Ensure department compliance with regulatory agency standards and accrediting requirements
* COORDINATION – Serve as liaison for department; coordinate activities in collaboration with other divisions, departments and outside agencies and organizations; respond and resolve inquiries and complaints
* REPORTS – Prepare and present reports and other necessary correspondence
* DEVELOPMENT – Attend and participate in professional meetings and committees; stay abreast of new trends and innovations
* RELATED WORK – Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
* SUPERVISION – Develop efficient organizational structure. Supervise employees and select, terminate, train, educate, correct deficiencies, perform appraisals, issue discipline, counsel, schedule work assignments; encourage staff teamwork and growth initiatives
