Salary:  £23,041 – £24,630 pro rata (depending upon experience), plus generous holiday allowance, pension, Employee Assistance programme and other benefits

Contract: Part time/11.25 hours per week, annualised hours; Permanent

SU Scotland’s vision is to see every child and young person in Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus.  We are a national charity, with around 100 staff and over 2,000 volunteers.  Our activities take place in schools, outdoor activity centres, churches and online.

 

SU Holidays is part of SU Scotland and organises around 100 holiday events for children and young people across Scotland. We are recruiting a Maintenance Coordinator working at our Scoughall and Kingscross Campsites with the potential option of some working from home or the SU office in Edinburgh or Glasgow. Working as part of the SU Holidays team, the successful applicant will ensure that the sites at Scoughall and Kingscross are well-maintained and developed for the future.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The role is varied and includes ensuring that infrastructure at both sites is well maintained. You will propose and manage development projects.

 

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking someone who will take an active role in maintaining and developing the sites. You will have the skills necessary to maintain building infrastructure, as well as the vision and forward planning to successfully deliver development projects. The successful applicant will be self-motivated and able to take initiative where needed.

 

For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and able to demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation.  It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act – part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.

 

The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure.
