Physical Requirements | Sitting/standing for long periods of time with repetitive motions consistent with computer usage. |
Shift | Monday through Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm (40.0 hrs/wk) with one 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Shift will flex as necessary to accommodate evenings and weekends that are occasionally required by the position. Holiday time is given according to University policy. |
Job Summary | Coordinates the day-to-day conduct of the studies with which the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine is involved. Ensures that research is conducted in compliance with the study protocol as well as federal, state and institutional guidelines and regulations. Maintains accurate and confidential records. Drafts and manages IRBs. Manages the day-to-day operations of research studies, such as recruitment, enrollment, and data collection to ensure project timelines are met. Trains and oversees research staff. Assists with drafting manuscripts of studies for publication. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Expertise in research and budget management; experience in academic grant writing and submission process; experience in dissemination and implementation research. |
