Description of
Duties

The Annual Giving Manager (Manager) is
responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive annual
giving program that achieves revenue and participation goals. The
Manager serves as the lead on all annual giving projects including
direct mail, email campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising, and other
targeted campaigns. This role will have broad creative and tactical
latitude to execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns through
both traditional and digital channels. 
In addition, the Manager will assist
in launching and executing planned giving, peer-to-peer
fundraising, and other individual giving programs, with the goal of
supporting the greater fundraising priorities of the Development
team. 
This is a hybrid position, with at
least one day per week on campus in Torrance, CA. 

    Development, design,
    implementation, and evaluation of annual giving
    appeals
      • Creates and implements a comprehensive, multi-channel annual
        giving program. This includes content/message development, mailing
        list selection, audience segmentation, target ask identification,
        as well as successful project management.
      • Crafts polished and donor-centric annual giving appeals and
        ensures the appropriate review of copy.
      • Manages a detailed schedule of direct marketing activities
        related to annual and individual giving programs.
      • Manages relationships with vendors to ensure quality and
        accuracy of direct mail pieces and identify the most cost-effective
        strategies.
      • Coordinates with the team on the acknowledgment and stewardship
        of annual donors.
      • Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis to track ROI,
        including year-to-date comparisons while tracking progress to goal.
        Reports results on a monthly, quarterly, and mid-fiscal year basis;
        recommends adjustments to plans as needed.

    Planned giving
    program development

      • Assists in launching and executing a direct mail program to
        educate prospective planned gift donors.
      • Helps develop planned giving collaterals and strategies to
        engage planned gift donors.
  • Individual giving
    programs

      • Establishes platforms for donors interested in workplace
        giving, crowdfunding, making memorial/honorary gifts, and
        supporting pooled funds.
      • Creates fundraising toolkits for volunteers to fundraise on
        behalf of the Institute.
      • Assesses and determines the best next steps for the Friends of
        the Lundquist Institute program and other donor affinity
        groups.

    Salary Range:
    $80,000-85,000
