Chemonics seeks a Family Planning (FP)/COVID logistics advisor to provide technical assistance and strengthen supply chain management for Reproductive Health, FP, and COVID products. The (FP)/COVID logistics advisor will support interventions with national HIV/AIDS programs and supply chain areas of the Guatemalan Ministry of Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS) and the Guatemalan Social Security Institute (IGSS). This position will be based in Guatemala City, Guatemala. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical assistance for the development and implementation of quality standards, guidelines, and technical tools related to interventions to strengthen the supply chain of Reproductive Health, FP, and COVID products, including, but not limited to, needs assessment and purchasing plan, warehousing and distribution plan, logistics management information systems, and human resources development in therapy pharmacies for antiretrovirals; to be completed in coordination with the senior logistics advisor of GHSC-PSM Guatemala
- Coordinate activities associated with the collection, filtering, and review of logistical data associated with estimating Reproductive Health, FP, and COVID product needs and monitoring the purchasing plan
- Develop monitoring activities on the logistical processes that are supported at both the central level and the level of prioritized sites
- Support supply chain training activities and information systems
- Coordinate follow-up meetings to strengthen logistics and supply chain management processes with the MSPAS and IGSS that are assigned
- Coordinate with USAID partners for the development of work plan activities, which are assigned and delegated by the senior logistics advisor of GHSC-PSM Guatemala
- Collect information and prepare reports for assigned activities, including indicators and performance presentations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, industrial engineering, pharmacy, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably logistics in the public health sector, and/or knowledge with healthcare products and supplies
- Previous experience in providing training/training on supply chain issues
- Previous experience in demand planning, forecast management, purchasing plans, and project management is preferred
- Data processing and qualitative/quantitative analysis skills, including advanced management of Excel or other related programs for data processing
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in writing technical reports
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Preferred English language skills
