Description of the Assignment: National consultant on mainstreaming climate-fragility risks and resilience into Syrdarya River Basin Management Plan for 2016-2030.

Period of assignment/services: 130 working days: June– November 2024

Contract type: Individual Contract

The overall goal of the assignment is to involve the climate change expert to support in the development of the River Basin Management Plan for the Tajik Syr Darya Basin Zone for the period 2026-2030 and further integration of climate change adaptation measures with local socio-economic development programs.

The specific objective is to develop the basin strategy and measures for mitigation and adaptation to climate change for the Tajik Syr Darya Basin Management Plan with engagement of Syrdarya RBO and the participation of all basin stakeholders, especially involving local executive bodies of state administration of Sughd province, districts and cities. 

 

Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.

Основной целью данного задания является привлечение эксперта по адаптации к изменению климата для оказания поддержки в разработке Плана управления речным бассейном таджикской части реки Сыр-Дарья на период 2026-2030 гг. и его дальнейшую интеграцию мер по адаптации к изменению климата в местные социально-экономические программы развития.

Конкретная задача заключается в разработке бассейновой стратегии и мер по смягчению последствий и адаптации к изменению климата для Плана управления речным бассейном таджикской части реки Сыр-Дарья с привлечением БОР реки Сыр-Дарья и участием всех заинтересованных сторон бассейна, особенно с привлечением местных Исполнительных органов государственной власти Согдийской области, районов и городов.
