Job Description: |
The University of Florida’s Division of Enrollment Management is actively searching for an Assistant University Registrar for Academic Compliance. This position plays a critical role in upholding institutional compliance, including athletic eligibility, veteran certifications, academic petitions, and residency reclassifications, as well as ensuring strict adherence to NCAA, conference, university, state, and federal regulations governing academic and student records. Additionally, the successful candidate in this position will support the University Registrar and Associate Registrars in maintaining a consistent interpretation of academic policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:
Student-Athlete Academic Eligibility Certification Ensuring compliance with NCAA and conference academic policies while leading the certification process for student-athlete academic eligibility. Determining eligibility status and confirm adherence to established regulations. Veteran Education Benefits Certification Leading the certification process for veteran education benefits and ensuring adherence to federal regulations governing these benefits. Compliance Requests Management Directing the review and decision-making process for student academic petitions, residency reclassifications, and other compliance requests. This position will supervise one to two direct reports engaged in compliance functions. Guidance and Collaboration Offering guidance to the University and Associate Registrars regarding compliance with academic policies, interpretation, and procedural consistency. Engaging in discussions related to changes in academic policies and requirements, identifying their compliance impacts. Staying updated on alterations to academic regulations at the university, state, and federal levels. Training Initiatives Directing training initiatives aimed at educating the campus community about new academic policies and compliance requirements. Collaborating with other compliance offices across campus to ensure the consistent application of academic policies. Evaluation and Reporting Evaluating academic histories and degree audits to determine compliance in complex student cases. Supervising the maintenance of various compliance databases and reporting systems. Other duties Performing additional duties as assigned.
This position is located at the University of Florida’s main campus in Gainesville, FL and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management’s policies. |
Expected Salary: |

Minimum Requirements: |
Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience. |
