Offer Description

The position is permanent. The Academic Discipline, for research and teaching, is Financial Markets, Financial Institutions and Corporate Finance.

Requested research duties: for interests and research experiences acquired and future prospects, the professor will need to integrate into the existing research groups within the Department that operate in line with the research areas. These areas, which are closely related, have been declared by the MIUR for the Academic Discipline 13/B4 “Financial Markets, Financial Institutions, and Corporate Finance”:
a) Financial Markets and Institutions, which examines the models of strategic, managerial, organizational, and operational behavior of financial intermediaries, including banking, pension, and insurance entities, as well as the organization and functioning of the payment system and the securities markets. Furthermore, it investigates the technical features of banking, insurance, and security contracts, the valuation and pricing models of financial instruments, the management models of financial and real estate assets, and the optimization of asset/liability portfolios, efficiency analyses of financial markets and systems. From a methodological standpoint, it relies on a strong orientation towards empirical analysis and applied research themes.
b) Corporate Finance, which deals with the analysis of the financial needs of companies and their coverage, the financial decisions of companies (investment and financial structure) and their relationship with the capital market, the valuation of companies, extraordinary finance operations, risk management, real estate finance, and the management of treasury assets and the interaction between financial decisions and corporate governance models. It employs mathematical-statistical tools for theoretical formalizations and empirical verifications.
The research approach must be characterized by the use of rigorous methodologies recognized by the international community. Scientific production must demonstrate a clear ability to disseminate research results at an international level;

Requested teaching duties: the professor may be required by the Department to teach within the disciplines of the Academic recruitment Fields SECS-P/09 and SECS-P/11, both at the basic and advanced level, in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, in either Italian or English language;

Applications are welcome from candidates with the following qualifications: a) candidates who have passed the Italian National Academic Qualifications Procedure (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) as per Article 16 of Law no. 240/2010 for the subject sector 13/B4 or one of the subject sectors included in the same wider subject sector 13/B and for the academic level that is the subject of the selection procedure; b) candidates who got the qualification “idoneità” according to “Legge 210/1998” for the position corresponding to Full Professor, provided the qualification is still valid; c) candidates already employed as Full Professor in other universities; d) scholars who are permanently employed in research or teaching activities at university level outside Italy in positions which are equivalent to Full Professor (according to ministerial equivalences).
