The Accelerating Clean Energy Access to Reduce Inequality (ACCESS) project aims to provide equitable and sustainable access to basic services to the poor and most vulnerable groups of people to improve their quality of life. The ACCESS project is implemented for 4 years starting in 2020 with a target of 22 villages in 4 provinces in Indonesia (East Nusa Tenggara Province, West Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, and Central Kalimantan) and 25 villages in 3 Timor-Leste municipalities (Dili Atauro Municipalities, Bobonaro and Manatuto) as a form of South-South Triangular Cooperation (SSTC). The ACCESS project is funded by a Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and being implemented by UNDP Indonesia and by UNDP Timor Leste.
The objective of the Accelerating Clean Energy Access to Reduce Inequality (ACCESS) project is to support the poor and most vulnerable communities to have equitable and sustainable access to basic services for improving their livelihoods. To achieve the objective, ACCESS will implement activities that will produce following outputs:
By bringing access to reliable and affordable electricity, ACCESS will change the lives of thousands of people in remote areas of Indonesia. This project exemplifies UNDP’s commitment, together with KOICA, to reach out to the most deprived populations and reduce inequalities. It gives real meaning to the “Leave No One Behind agenda.” Providing clean energy to the most marginalized communities will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 7 – affordable and clean energy and Goal 10 on reducing inequalities.
The intern will be part of ACCESS team in Jakarta. S/he will work under the direct supervision of the National Project Manager.

Education:
Enrolment in last year of bachelor’s degree, and or a fresh graduate of bachelor’s Degree with a maximum of 1 year since graduation, or enrolment or a fresh graduate with a maximum of 1 year since graduation in a master’s degree in the area of Communication Studies, Graphic Design, Sustainable Development, Environmental studies or related field.
