About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for passionate Youth Workers to join our Homelessness Intake and Prevention Program. The role is based at our 121 youth refuge, which is a safe and supportive refuge for young people across Melbourne who are homeless, or are at risk of experiencing homelessness. The refuge provides short-term accommodation to vulnerable young people while they get their lives back on track.
Working as part of a committed team, the Youth Worker supports and encourages young people who attend the program to address and resolve the issues that may have contributed to their homelessness. The Youth Worker will support young people residing in the refuge with various household tasks such as shopping, cooking and cleaning. The role also assists with the day-to-day program administration functions and contributes to the overall running of the refuge.
