Job Description:

The College of Medicine’s Intelligent Clinical Care Center (IC3) is seeking a Application Developer Analyst V (working title Omniverse Engineer). IC3, located within a top-tier public university, is a diverse and multidisciplinary group at the forefront of AI research for health.
As an Omniverse Engineer on our metaverse team, you’ll play a key role in revolutionizing clinical research, medical education, and healthcare delivery. Collaborating with industry leaders like NVIDIA and Mark III Systems, we utilize generative AI, AR/VR/MR, and IoT to create next-gen digital healthcare platforms. In this dynamic role, you’ll work with a skilled team to build the University of Florida’s pioneering health metaverse, engaging in Omniverse integration and contributing to user-facing AR/VR/MR applications.
We’re seeking a Omniverse Engineer for our Digital Hospital Metaverse project, focusing on Omniverse and Generative AI to enhance manufacturing workflows. Responsibilities include collaborating with Omniverse Architects, engineers, and clinical teams, developing tools for seamless 3D CAD integration with Omniverse, optimizing data workflows, and establishing standard processes. Essential Functions;

Develop Python scripts to support dynamic animations, interactions, and simulations using provided static 3D Omniverse environments and generative AI models

Develop and maintain pipelines for integrating multimodal real-world data into Omniverse environments

Maintain and troubleshoot real-time, live digital twin and metaverse processes on distributed high-performance computing clusters

Collaborate on next-generation AR/VR/MR healthcare applications

Expected Salary:

$100,000 – $130,000 Annually

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree and eight years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience writing plug-ins for DCC tools and scripting knowledge in the 3D interactive domain, including understanding of Universal Scene Descriptioni, MDL (Material Definition Language), and physics.
• Knowledge of NVIDIA Omniverse and AI platforms including Kit SDK, Isaac Sim, NeMo framework.
• Proficiency in developing AR/VR/MR applications
• Healthcare domain expertise
• Ability to scope projects and estimate required effort to build end-to-end applications
