Job description

Anderson Knight is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a client located in Lanarkshire.

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee customer orders, shipments, and associated commercial activities in alignment with business plans.

The standard working hours are 34 hours per week, Monday to Friday with an early finish on a Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer orders, overseeing and coordinating stock requirements to meet targeted dispatch dates.
  • Collaborate with hauliers, freight forwarders, and warehouses to coordinate the dispatch of customer orders.
  • Efficiently manage inventory to reduce slow-moving stock and meet annual stock-holding goals.
  • Maintain data related to customer records, pricing, and promotional budgets.
  • Handle customer complaints from receipt to reimbursement, ensuring thorough investigations to satisfy customers.
  • Maintain open communication with customers, covering various business aspects beyond order requirements, including forecasts, stock depletion rates, marketing, and product information.
  • Organize and ensure the availability of stock for sending samples to customers.
  • Prepare export documents in accordance with HMRC/Chamber of Commerce/Embassy guidelines to facilitate the clearance of goods in the market, as well as the necessary documentation to register brands in the market.
  • Maintain accurate records related to import and export shipments and ensure compliance with HMRC guidelines regarding excise and customs matters.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize workloads and proactively manage customer accounts.

Key Attributes and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a Customer Service function within an export environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in import and export.
  • Proficient in SAP or other ERP database functions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Practical and innovative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • HND or equivalent in Business Studies or Institute of Export Qualification is preferred but not essential.
