Our Information and Library Services Directorate delivers award winning IT services and support, library, academic and digital skills and learning enhancement to staff and students across the university. Our digital mission is to ensure everyone in our community is equipped to effectively use digital services, data and technology with confidence, efficiency and creativity in their learning, teaching, research and organisational support.

 We are looking for an experienced software developer to work as Manager within the Development (Product) team, in the Enterprise Applications service. 

 This role would suit an existing development manager or software team leader looking for a change, or a senior developer with some leadership experience who is ready to make their next step into management.

 You will act as a source of knowledge and experience in the team; supporting, coaching and occasionally supervising team members as required.  Co-ordinating all day-to-day activities, to ensure the successful technical development and implementation of software solutions. You will be involved in all phases of development, as well as maintenance of current systems, changes and system upgrades.

 The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate significant experience, across the full technology stack, and version control using Git, as described in the job description.

 You will have proven experience of large-scale project management, and proactive liaison with all stakeholders. Hence, we are looking for a strong communicator, able to manage a varied workload.

 The post will be based at the outstanding World Heritage Site of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. This is permanent position, and the role attracts London Weighting and salary related local government pension.
