Summary of Job Duties:

The Instructor shall be responsible to the PN Program Chairperson and Dean of Nursing and Allied Health. The duties of all full-time faculty at UACCM include but are not limited to the following:
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Teach approximately 15 credit hours and maintain 15 office hours per semester.
• Conduct class for the full duration of each scheduled class period.
• Keep sufficient records to support grades assigned in all classes taught; submitting grades in a timely manner as required by the Registrar’s Office.
• Insure a syllabus for each course taught is updated as necessary and kept on file in the office of the Division Chair as directed.
• Actively participate in the selection of textbooks and/or other materials needed for each course taught.
• Attending functions at the college as requested by administrative officers (graduation, open house, etc.).
• Serve as advisor for students as assigned
• Maintaining skills and knowledge within his or her area.
• Serving on standing and/or ad hoc committees as assigned by the administrative officers.
• Serving as advisor for student organizations within the department (if applicable).
• Actively cooperating with the Advisory Committee for his or her program (if applicable).
• Compile and complete required reporting as directed.
• Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate must have a commitment to working cooperatively with all campus personnel to fulfill the Mission of UACCM, and have the ability to deliver quality customer services.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold valid Practical Nursing license and shall not be subject to disciplinary action by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Disciplinary action includes, but is not limited to: probation, suspension, revocation or voluntary surrender of license due to disciplinary action and

  • Have a minimum of one (1) year of long-term care experience.

  • Must be able to be approved as an instructor by the Arkansas Office of Long-Term Car

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold a valid Registered Nursing license and shall not be subject to disciplinary action by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Disciplinary action includes, but is not limited to: probation, suspension, revocation or voluntary surrender of license due to disciplinary action and

  • Prior teaching experience in higher education

Salary Information:

Salary Range: $40,000 to $45,000
