Founded in 1979, Action contre la Faim is an international non-governmental organization fighting hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has underpinned its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts and natural disasters. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director Support, your role will be to define the Country Office’s Human Resources policy and coordinate its implementation and deployment on all bases in order to provide the best possible support to programs.
More precisely, you will be in charge of:
Contributing to defining mission strategy, supervising the staff administration and payroll.
Managing the Human Resources team at Capital and providing technical support to Human Resources team in the bases.
Providing the recruitment and training of all employees and promote career development.
Ensuring a coherent organization of work and establish a policy of compensation and benefits.
Implementing collective rules and communicating these internally.
Promoting and coordinating Human Resources with the mission’s partners.
Preventing and managing cases of fraud and corruption.
Managing the Human Resources team and the home staff in capital and be support/technical Manager for Human Resources Managers in the bases.
This position is eligible for both international and national (Nigerian) candidates.
12 months of fixed-term contract under French law (for international candidates) or Nigerian law (for national candidates).

Profile :
You have a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Science or International Relation. Human resources professional qualifications and training is an added advantage.
You have at least 3 years of relevant experience as a HR professional with experience in the INGO sector preferably as part of a senior management team.
You have an experience in Emergency and Humanitarian contexts.
You are knowledgeable in all aspects of Human Resource Management including team management and working in an intercultural environment.
You are highly organized, disciplined, detail oriented and work well under pressure.
You are self motivated and capable to analyzing information with the aim of arriving at conclusions with minimal guidance.
You have excellent written and verbal communication as well as be computer literate especially when it comes to report writing and analysis.
Experiences with ACF is an added advantage.
