Background:

ZSVP (Zakho Small Villages Projects) as a local NGO, Non-profit established in 1991, is interested on community development to promote the ability of vulnerable groups of rural communities and help them for fair sustainable life.

In 1991, after the First Gulf War, ZSVP took part in the relief efforts for the refugees and internally displaced people and in reconstructing of infrastructure of rural areas of Dohuk governorate through rebuilding (shelters, water projects, schools, clinics, irrigation channels, and roads) to enable people to return back to their villages and start their life. After the UN resolution 1996, ZSVP moved away from relief-oriented approach to a more developmental approach. Since 1998, ZSVP has disseminated environmental information and conducted workshops and training courses for diffusing sustainable agriculture methods and environmentally sound technologies, integrated pest management techniques, nutrition methods water and environmental health care to various groups’ (farmers, rural women, extension agents, students and NGOs).

JOB Title: Job-Readiness Trainer

No of Jobs:4

Location: Ninewa Governorate(1 in Qahtania 2 in Sinuni 1 in Talafer)

Contract Duration:     

  • 1 in Qahtania 3 courses x 6 days = 18 days
  • 2 in Sinuni 6 courses x 6 days = 36 days
  • 1 in Talafer : 3 courses x 6 days = 18 days

 

Type Of Contract: Service Contract

Reports to: Project Manager

Dead line for applying: On Saturday 29th June 2024 no later than 12:00pm

JOB SUMMARY

The Job-Readiness Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive job-readiness training programs aimed at equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to secure and maintain employment. This role involves preparing individuals for the job market by enhancing their professional skills, improving their job search techniques, and boosting their confidence.

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·         Conduct job-readiness training in Arabic and Kurdish or Turkman

  • Deliver comprehensive training sessions on:
  • Code of Conduct
  • Labor Law
  • Communication Skills
  • Project Management Cycle
  • Basic Language Skills
  • Safety and First Aid
  • Prepare training materials and activities to engage participants
  • Provide individual and group feedback
  • Monitor attendance and participation
  • Report on training outcomes and participant progress

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Arabic and Kurdish or Turkman
  • Proven experience in training and development, preferably in job readiness or related fields
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage training schedules
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and safety regulations
