About : Action contre la Faim

Créée en 1979, Action contre la Faim est une organisation non gouvernementale internationale qui lutte contre la faim dans le monde. Sa charte des principes humanitaires – indépendance, neutralité, non-discrimination, accès libre et direct aux victimes, professionnalisme, transparence – fonde son identité depuis plus de 40 ans. Sa mission est de sauver des vies en éliminant la faim par la prévention, la détection et le traitement de la sous-nutrition, en particulier pendant et après les situations d’urgence liées aux conflits et aux catastrophes naturelles. Action contre la Faim coordonne ses programmes autour de 5 domaines d’activités : Nutrition et Santé – Santé Mentale, Soutien Psychosocial et Protection – Sécurité Alimentaire et Moyens d’Existence – Eau, Assainissement et Hygiène – Plaidoyer. Mission :

Under the supervision of the Country Director, you will be responsible to the following missions:
To work with the Nutrition Cluster Coordinator and MoPH counter parts (PND) and the Strategic Advisory Group.
To provide overall leadership for the Nutrition Cluster in Afghanistan.
To facilitate the process of ensuring a coherent and effective emergency nutrition response by partners.
Coordinate the cluster activities in collaboration with all stakeholders.
Monitor the nutrition partners activities.
Advocate and mobilize resources for the implementation of nutrition cluster strategy.

12 months fixed term contract under French (for internationals) or Afghan (for nationals) labor law,

Profile :

. You hold a master degree, with at least five years’ experience within the international humanitarian sector directly engaged with cluster.
. You have strong analytical skills and used to coordinate with several stakeholders
. You are flexible and diplomatic, and you are able to handle at times.
. You already have worked under pressure.

. You need significant understanding of the cluster mechanism and structure.
. You are fluent in English
