  • SCHADS Level 4 with a salary range of $82,123 – $88,367 per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

The Aboriginal Liaison Officer will be part of a small team that works within an integrated service delivery model to provide health, housing, rehabilitation and support services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The ALO will not only work with Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander clients but also non-Aboriginal clients working under an assertive outreach model aimed at providing integrated services that focus on transitioning from homelessness or risk of homelessness to safe, secure and sustainable long term accommodation, prevention of re-offending and improved health outcomes.

What you will bring to the role?

  • Experience working with AOD and complex behaviours
  • Previous experience working with people who have a mental illness or experienced a mental health crisis including suicidal crisis.
  • Experience and knowledge working with consumers that identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders
  • Computer literacy

What the role requires:

  • National Criminal History Check (Police check) – disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Australian Working Rights
