We are seeking an Aboriginal Pathway Worker for a full-time fixed term position to end June 2024 (with possibility of extension) with the Babaneek Booboop Project.

Join a small team of Aboriginal Pathway Workers committed to improving the developmental outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children by supporting their parents and carers to link with early childhood education and health services.

The Babaneek Booboop Project team work with families and carers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children 0 to 8 years old living in the Melton City and Moorabool Shire Council areas.

To be Successful in this Role, you will be:

  • Knowledgeable about and connected with the local Aboriginal culture and community
  • Able to engage and build positive networks within the local Aboriginal community
  • Understanding and respectful of each family’s right to informed choice, independence and self-determination
  • Able to support families to complete referrals, attend appointments and engage with chosen services
