| Job Summary | The Academic Advisor II will provide targeted advising support to medical students via scheduled and walk-in meetings, email, and phone communications for the purposes of academic success, retention, and graduation; provide individual and group assistance to students preparing for standardized certification and course exams, addressing study skills, organization, time management, study planning, and test taking; work closely with students, course directors, and curriculum staff to monitor student performance, identify opportunities for intervention and coaching specific to each cohort’s coursework and licensing exam expectations, and develop targeted strategies to be delivered through a variety of media (e.g. workshops, class meetings, newsletters, website); develop and manage a system to track utilization of academic advising and tutors to be used at all UK College of Medicine campuses and centrally monitored; and train staff at all campuses in the use of system and continuously monitor system. |
