Boston University’s College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) seeks a professional to oversee operations and projects within the CAS Undergraduate Academic Program Office. This administrative office manages operations that support the curriculum and academic programs for a school of 8,500 undergraduates, 2,100 graduate students, 900 faculty, and 300 staff members across 35 academic departments/programs. The office partners closely with other administrative units within CAS as well as units across the University such as the Provosts office, the Registrars office, Analytical Services & Institutional Research, Information Services & Technology, the BU Hub Office, the Center for Teaching & Learning, Facilities Management, and more. The Academic Program Coordinator manages daily operations within the main suite of the CAS Undergraduate Academic Program Office.
Responsibilities include:
The College seeks a candidate who is highly organized, meticulously detailed, and able to multi-task. Candidate will be self-motivated and take the initiative, following through on all projects until completion. Candidate will be comfortable working independently, but also able to work with teams of other colleagues. Candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills. This is a full-time, 12-month position. After one semester of work, consideration will be given for up to 2 days of remote work per week. The College of Arts & Sciences recently celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2023. From its earliest beginnings, the College embarked on radical change in higher education by opening its doors to students who had been excluded from college campuses for generations. Now the largest school at Boston University, the College offers over 250 degree programs for a large and diverse population of both undergraduates and graduate students.
